untitled

After spending so much time living with and through the dark, I recently found the way to let the light back in. I didn’t mind the darkness - I knew how to manage it and honestly felt comfortable in the shadows. I even questioned if I’d be able to still “be myself” once I moved into the twilight. But a not long removed from the darkness, I had to admit: I didn’t mind it.

So as shadows started to cast upon me this weekend, I actually became worried. It’s not often that I admit a dynamic change works, but this one was definitely for the better.

“Don’t let me let the dark take over”.

That’s not something I ever thought would resonate with me….

“I remember blue skies
I remember how you were
Sitting under star-shine, ever-bright
Not ready but you were
Pulled me in ‘til I came alive
To the sun, there was nothing higher
In the solstice of your ever-light
I saw to my future

Don’t let me let the…
Don’t let me let the dark take over
Don’t let me let the dark take…

Then it’s over
I get the feeling that it won’t subside, then it goes”
